From Sketch to Structure: Your Key Duties
Read and study drawings and specifications.Identify and analyze relevant details and scope.Prepare material deployment plan drawings.Prepare Quantities Take Offs (QTO) and Bill of Materials (BOM).Refine drawings and sketches for presentation; prepare drawings in standard templates.Create drawings from sketches and verbal discussions; identify and detail the relevant specifications required for the drawing.Engineered for Success: Your Expertise and Qualifications
Certificate or degree in Civil Engineering/Technician, Structural Engineering/Technician, Mechanical Engineering/Technician, Technical Drafting, Architecture, or Building and Construction.At least 5 years of experience using AutoCAD for drafting technical drawings, including at least 2 medium-complexity projects involving detailed drawings for construction (Civil, Structural, and/or Mechanical). Examples of past work prepared by the candidate will be highly valued in the interview.Advanced to expert skills with AutoCAD, with comprehensive knowledge of tools and drawing elements. Knowledge of Civil 3D or 12D is valuable but not required.Medium to advanced skills with MS Excel; at least medium skills with MS Word and MS Office. Ability to fill pre-existing templates and follow instructions with minimal supervision.Ability to read contour lines, surveys, and earthworks/topography drawings; perform basic geometrical calculations (Pythagorean theorem, proportions, area, length, 2D & 3D considerations, slope, volume) with minimal supervision.Understanding of construction activities, methods, errors, and allowances. Ability to evaluate potential errors (risks) and report them, for example, in a table.Proficiency in English; at least intermediate knowledge of construction/technical English.
