Crunching Numbers and Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for clientsPrepare complete and accurate workpapers and checklistsPrepare complete and accurate daily timesheetsResearch tax technical issues and apply them to clients' circumstancesReview ASIC company annual statements and documentsPrepare BAS/IAS and review PAYG installmentsIdentify client business and tax issues; prepare advice including discussions and correspondence with clientsComplete work in a timely and efficient mannerCommunicate with clients via telephone and in personLiaise with ATO and ASIC on client mattersBuild client relationships through regular contactStay up-to-date with technical changes (attendance at weekly and monthly in-house staff training)Perform other duties as directed by Directors and ManagersThe Right Credentials for Financial Success
The ‘You’
Obtained a tertiary qualification in Accounting / accounting-related degree in business / commerce or similar and preferably be undertaking / planning to undertake your CA / CPA qualificationTechnical Skills
Understanding the fundamentals of income tax Common income tax, capital gains tax and GST issues that apply to individuals, companies, partnerships, superannuation funds and trusts Common FBT issues that apply to businesses Corporate secretarial requirements that apply to private companies An understanding of general business An understanding of tax issues that apply to superannuation fundsOther Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
