The Commissary Manager provides support for the Plant Manager. He/She work to exceed customer expectations, foster teamwork and collaboration, develop staff members’ abilities and competencies, and achieve the financial objectives established for the commissary. This role will manage a team of production staff and commissary personnel providing coaching and mentoring, assist with problem solving, manage capital budgets, drive operational efficiency focused on reducing waste and improving productivity, while driving execution focused on achieving KPI’s and customer service.

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

Understand and implement procedures to maximize efficiencies and control variances in daily production of product and overall commissary performanceUnderstand and implement commissary quality control procedures, including standardsCoordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and minimize labor hoursInspect, troubleshoot, and assess any production or equipment problemsEnsure all products meet the company's quality standardsWork with the Commissary Director to achieve business plan objectives and profitability as set forth in the commissary operating plan and in the established financial goalsDemonstrate safety consciousness and promote commissary safety, e.g. shoes, floor cones, etc.Maintain a high level of commissary sanitation and cleanliness, e.g. cleaning schedules, training, etc.Oversee proper upkeep of commissary facility and equipmentEstablishes daily staffing requirements based on volumes and customer demands, and coordinates daily work schedules to create the most efficiency while providing proper service levels.Establishes departmental work processes and maintains written policies and procedures.
