The Sales Consultant is responsible for generating new business, promoting the hotel's products and services, maintaining client relationships, and achieving assigned sales targets. The position focuses on acquiring corporate accounts, group bookings, events, room reservations, and other revenue-generating opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through calls, emails, client visits, referrals, networking, and other sales activities.
- Promote hotel rooms, function spaces, event packages, F&B offerings, and other hotel services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event organizers, and other business partners.
- Conduct sales calls, client meetings, presentations, site inspections, and property tours.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, contracts, and other sales-related documents.
- Follow up on leads, inquiries, quotations, and proposals to convert opportunities into confirmed bookings.
- Achieve individual and team sales targets, revenue goals, and other assigned KPIs.
- Coordinate with Reservations, Front Office, F&B, Events, and other departments to ensure client requirements are properly handled.
- Maintain accurate records of clients, leads, sales activities, and confirmed bookings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
- Participate in sales promotions, trade shows, networking events, and hotel marketing activities.
- Handle client concerns professionally and coordinate with relevant departments for proper resolution.
- Conduct account visits and maintain regular communication with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for the Sales Manager.
- Assist in developing sales strategies and promotional activities to increase hotel revenue.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Sales Manager or management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Sales, hospitality, customer service, or internship experience is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Goal-oriented and willing to work toward sales targets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willing to conduct client visits and participate in sales activities outside the hotel.
- Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays when required. Skills and Competencies
