Role Summary

Confirmis' Media News Analyst supports the company's media monitoring and news intelligence activities by identifying, tracking, and maintaining relevant news related to assigned subject companies and industries. This position is designed for final-year university students who can deliver consistent output in a remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and identify relevant news related to assigned companies and industries, including global developments, using approved media and research platforms.
  • Track on-going critical and relevant news for targeted companies, ensuring timely collection, categorization, and delivery to internal dashboards and clients.
  • Monitor and analyze developments in high-risk (red flag) countries/regions, providing strategic updates to support team decisions and client reporting.
  • Perform targeted desk research to provide context for identified news items where required.
  • Maintain an organized database of relevant news articles and supporting information, verifying accuracy, relevance, and completeness before reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure alignment on reporting timelines, content standards, and monitoring priorities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualification & Requirement

  • Final-year university student in Journalism, Communications, Business, International Relations, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in media monitoring, news research, and business-related topics.
  • Good research and information synthesis skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiar with online research tools and news aggregation platforms.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setup.
  • Strong proficiency in English.
  • Reliable computer hardware and a stable internet connection.
