Transportation Engineer Intern

Job Summary

The Transportation Engineer Intern will assist engineers and engineering staff in various project support roles.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Become familiar with transportation and traffic engineering reports, plans, and details
• Assist with traffic modeling using related software (e.g., PTV Vissim, AutoTURN, Synchro)
• Assist in the production of progress reports and documentation
• Support project monitoring and scheduling
• Collaborate with transportation and traffic engineers, as well as support staff
• Apply relevant codes and standards to assist in preparing engineering deliverables
• Participate in BUILD (TYLin's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program) activities
• Attend site visits or inspections under close supervision
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Requires current 3rd or 4th year standing as an undergraduate, or a Graduate student standing, in an accredited Civil Engineering program. BS degree preferred.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software, such as PTV Vissim, AutoTURN, Synchro etc., is preferred.
