About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in the Florida construction industry and who has previously worked in companies with annual revenues around $10M.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will support strategic financial decision-making while managing day-to-day accounting functions. This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in the Philippines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies as needed.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting team members to ensure high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Florida construction industry financial requirements and reporting standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA qualification preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a controller role.
  • Experience in the Florida construction industry and working with companies with ~$10M annual revenue.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with international teams.
  • Reliable internet connection and suitable remote work setup.
