Job description:

To provide technical support to the Operations Manager in the monitoring of plant operations including off season repairs, develops and assists in monitoring strategic plans, projects and other systems and handles the office and record management of the division.

I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Gathers and consolidates various operation reports such as mill weekly operations report, distillery weekly operations report, update of production plan, Daily Operations Reports, Weekly Progress Report.

  2. Prepares inputs for the creation of templates of process flows and material balances and updates these from time to time.

  3. Does design and other data computations.

  4. Reviews technical plans and drawings.

  5. Files and safekeeps a copy of operations drawings and plans.

  6. Prepares operations and project meeting materials, takes minutes of the meetings and prepares these for distribution to all involved parties.

  7. Takes active part in production planning, process discussion, project conception and problem solving activities.

  8. Coordinates with other sections on reports, data and other requirements or concerns.

  9. Takes the minutes of the weekly operations meeting.

  10. Properly organizes and safekeeps the office records, documents and materials.

  11. Prepares Operations Manuals including work procedures and instructions and trouble-shooting guide.

  12. Prepares Purchase Requests (PR) and other request documents for the approval of the operations manager.

  13. Assists in providing technical support for new projects/expansion and other productivity improvement projects.

  14. Ensures that proper sanitation and good housekeeping is maintained within the work area at all times.

II. JOB SPECIFICATION

Formal Schooling:

Licensed Engineer preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineer

Experience Required:

1-2 years work experience
