Job Description

As a Payment Operations Analyst, you'll ensure seamless payment processing across multiple systems while managing chargebacks and disputes with accuracy and compliance. You'll also support operational improvements and collaborate with key teams to maintain smooth and secure financial transactions.

The Qualifications We Seek

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3 to 5 years and above of experience in payment operations or financial services, ideally with exposure to chargebacks and dispute resolution
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and process improvement
• Familiarity with Australian payments systems (NPP, DE, BPAY) preferred
• Experience using data tools or SQL for operational insights is a plus

Your Daily Tasks

• Manage and resolve chargeback disputes across card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), ensuring compliance with scheme rules and internal SLAs
• Investigate and resolve payment disputes and exceptions across NPP, Direct Entry, and BPAY channels
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve operational issues and improve customer outcomes
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and stakeholders, providing transparent updates and resolution outcomes
• Perform regular reconciliations of chargeback and dispute-related transactions to maintain accuracy
• Identify and contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
• Support documentation and training of dispute management procedures within the operations team
