JOB OBJECTIVES:

The PPIC Officer is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient production planning and inventory control aligned with forecasts and customer demands. This role ensures optimal inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support continuous operations and service level targets. The PPIC Officer collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, and Logistics teams to balance production efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and inventory accuracy across Nutri-Asia's operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Production Planning:

o Develop and update Master Production Schedules (MPS) based on forecasted demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.

o Coordinate with Manufacturing to align production schedules with available resources and constraints.

o Monitor and adjust production plans to minimize stock-outs, overstocks, and production downtime.


• Inventory Control:

o Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods to maintain target stock levels.

o Coordinate with Warehouse and Procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of materials.

o Analyze inventory data and recommend actions to improve inventory turnover and minimize wastage.


• Material Requirement Planning (MRP):

o Generate and analyze Material Requirements Plans to ensure material availability for production.

o Identify potential supply risks and proactively coordinate with suppliers or internal teams for resolution.

o Monitor lead times and order points to maintain optimal inventory levels.

INTERFACE/ INTERACTION:

Internal Relations

  • Logistics – Close coordination for vendor schedule
  • Supply Planners - Close coordination for synchronization of Production Plan and Material Arrivals
  • Procurement - Close coordination for customer requirements
  • Production – Close coordination for materials availability to support the production run

MANAGING PEOPLE/LEADERSHIP:

  • Production Planner is actively engaged on supply alignment meetings between Logistics, Procurement and Production.

ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM SOLVING:

  • Analyze Usage patterns, lead time variability, and MRP to set up target inventory levels for each material.
  • Coordinate between cross functional teams to refine the Material ordering model.

IMPACT ON BUSINESS OPERATIONS (Nature and Area):

  • The PPIC Officer is a key enabler of supply chain synchronization, with a wide-reaching impact across departments. The role ensures the right product is produced at the right time, in the right quantity, with the right resources—directly influencing product availability, operational cost-efficiency, and customer satisfaction, which are core drivers of Nutri-Asia's business success.
