Warehouse Officer-In-Charge

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Officer-In-Charge (OIC) is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of construction materials and supplies. This role supervises warehouse personnel, manages inventory accuracy, maintains safety and cleanliness, and ensures that all warehouse activities align with company standards and customer requirements. The Warehouse OIC acts as the overall point person in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.

Key Responsibilities:1. Warehouse Operations Management

• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching construction materials such as cement, steel, lumber, tiles, tools, and plumbing/electrical items.
• Ensure efficient workflow and proper task delegation among warehouse staff.
• Monitor loading and unloading operations to prevent damage and ensure proper handling of goods.
• Coordinate deliveries and dispatch schedules with the logistics and sales teams.

2. Inventory Control

• Supervise inventory management to ensure stock accuracy and prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Conduct regular physical counts and reconcile discrepancies in coordination with accounting and purchasing teams.
• Implement and enforce proper inventory recording and labeling procedures.
• Monitor slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete stock and recommend appropriate action.

3. Staff Supervision and Leadership

• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to perform effectively and safely.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor performance, attendance, and productivity.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and briefings to communicate work plans and safety updates.
• Provide feedback and recommend disciplinary or performance improvement actions when needed.

4. Safety, Security, and Housekeeping

• Enforce compliance with safety policies, proper use of PPE, and material handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
• Safeguard company property and materials against theft, loss, or damage.
• Ensure that equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks are regularly inspected and maintained.

5. Reporting and Coordination

• Prepare daily and weekly warehouse reports on stock movement, receiving, and dispatch activities.
• Communicate regularly with procurement, sales, and logistics departments regarding stock levels and delivery schedules.
• Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Act as the primary warehouse contact point in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php13, Php17,000.00 per month
