What is the job?

The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for managing the full collections process, ensuring timely and accurate application of payments, resolving account issues, and maintaining clean account balances.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify CGM prescriptions, insurance eligibility, and prior authorization requirements.
  • Communicate with patients to confirm details, explain coverage, and discuss financial responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with providers to secure prescriptions and required documentation for billing.
  • Manage CGM resupply, fulfillment, and enrollment while maintaining accurate records in Brightree and EMR.
  • Collaborate with Billing and Sales teams to resolve issues and support program improvements.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and deliver excellent, professional customer service to patients and partners.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in patient coordination, DME, or healthcare administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and EMR systems.
  • Skilled in insurance verification, medical documentation, and order processing.
  • Capable of managing multiple patient cases while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail in patient interactions.
  • Communicates clearly in English and upholds values of ownership, trust, humility, and efficiency.
