Your Team Responsibilities
The Production Shared Services (PSS) function is responsible for the seamless and timely delivery of MSCI products and services to clients across multiple business lines, including Index, Analytics, and Sustainability & Climate. The work is highly time-sensitive and business-critical, requiring exceptional accuracy, judgment, accountability, and collaboration. The team operates on a global follow-the-sun model across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
Key Responsibilities Of The Team Include
- Enterprise Production Operations: Accurate and timely delivery of workflows across multiple business units.
- Incident Management: Identifying and resolving production issues, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to root cause analysis and permanent remediation.
- Client Case Handling: Managing production-related queries and tickets, ensuring prompt resolution in partnership with global teams.
- Change and Release Readiness: Supporting testing, deployments, and governance for product enhancements and new releases.
- Business Continuity & Resilience: Safeguarding uninterrupted operations and ensuring readiness for critical events.
- Automation and Transformation: Driving initiatives to modernize, scale, and improve production processes across business units.

Your Key Responsibilities
As a Regional Lead, You Will Be Accountable For Safeguarding Enterprise Data Integrity And Driving Delivery Excellence Across MSCI's Most Critical Workflows. You Will
Team Management & Oversight:
Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team of production analysts, SMEs, and managers.
- Serve as the escalation point for critical incidents and disruptions, ensuring prompt issue resolution and communication.
Drive knowledge retention and training through formalized programs, serving as a sponsor for onboarding and continuous learning efforts.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Engagement:
Represent regional operations in global forums and partner with Product Management, Quality & Risk Management, and Technology.
- Coordinate with CRM and Sales to ensure excellent client service and proactively manage production expectations and deliverables.
Support regulatory engagement by coordinating audits, surveys, and client due diligence requests.
Governance & Risk Management:
Uphold and enhance operational SOPs, data quality frameworks, and control processes.
- Manage change initiatives and production readiness for new or modified products, including regulatory requirements like IOSCO/EU BMR.
Ensure adherence to SLAs and internal compliance standards across all operational workflows.
Project and Transformation Leadership:
Drive regional execution of strategic initiatives including cloud migration, process automation, and delivery channel enhancements (e.g., Snowflake, APIs).
- Oversee transformation KPIs and ensure regional alignment with global production metrics and incident reporting standards.
Your Skills And Experience That Will Help You Excel
- 12+ years of experience in data operations, production services, or financial data/analytics workflows (experience with Index Data Operations strongly preferred), with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in incident/problem management with ability to engage senior stakeholders under pressure.
- Strong leadership attributes demonstrated through initiative, problem ownership, and the ability to guide and influence peers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Strong technical and operational mindset, with preferred experience in automation (Python, SQL, or similar), workflow orchestration, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Snowflake)
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools, APIs, and automation platforms, and an interest in applying them to production workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to innovate beyond BAU operations.
- High attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of representing enterprise operations in global forums.
