SPA TEAM LEADER (OR SENIOR SPA THERAPIST)

Position Type: Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:The Spa Team Leader or Senior Therapist plays a key leadership role in delivering exceptional spa experiences while supporting the professional growth of the spa team. This position combines expert-level hands-on therapy with a strong focus on mentoring, training, and enhancing the skills and service standards of therapists. The Spa Team Leader works closely with the Spa or Wellness Manager to ensure consistent treatment quality, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. This role also assists in developing treatment protocols, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive, collaborative, and learning-focused spa environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold a valid NCII (Massage Therapy) Certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Spa or Wellness Therapist.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a Senior Therapist or Trainer in a spa or wellness environment.
  • Must be knowledgeable and skilled in a full range of spa treatments, including:
  • Body massages (traditional, signature, and therapeutic)
  • Facials and skin care
  • Body scrubs and wraps
  • Holistic therapies (e.g., aromatherapy, reflexology, Hilot, etc.)
  • Has strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Must be a role model in wellness protocols, grooming standards, and guest service excellence.
  • Capable of taking on OIC responsibilities in the absence of the Wellness Manager and Wellness Supervisor.
  • Proficient in basic inventory, training documentation, and treatment quality checks.
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and a passion for wellness and guest care.
