Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) sector, from detailed design through commissioning and turnover. The role is responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will oversee multiple workstreams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful solar installations that meet performance and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage assigned C&I solar projects from construction mobilization to commissioning and handover.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate and monitor activities across engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Oversee installation of solar PV systems, including mounting structures, electrical works, inverters, and balance-of-system components.
  • Identify and manage project risks, ensuring timely implementation of mitigation and corrective measures.
  • Drive adherence to project timelines, technical specifications, and safety standards.

Stakeholder & Client Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for C&I clients during project execution, ensuring clear communication and responsiveness to concerns.
  • Coordinate closely with EPC contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Liaise with Engineering, HSE, and O&M teams to ensure a seamless transition from construction to operations.
  • Provide regular project updates to management, including progress reports, financial tracking, and key performance metrics.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local codes, permits, and renewable energy regulations.
  • Oversee on-site HSE compliance and promote a strong safety culture among all project participants.
  • Implement quality control and assurance procedures throughout construction and commissioning phases.
  • Manage project documentation, including test reports, as-built drawings, warranties, and turnover packages.
  • Support contract administration, claims resolution, and project close-out activities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, or Civil Engineering (Professional License preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' project management experience in solar PV or renewable energy, with at least 3 years in C&I-scale projects (rooftop or ground-mounted).
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of solar PV systems, BOS components, grid interconnection, and commissioning processes.
  • Management Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and deliver within budget and schedule.
  • Tools: Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or similar project management software; familiarity with CAD drawings and site management tools.
  • Advantage: Experience coordinating with EPC contractors, OEMs, or utility companies, and knowledge of net metering and C&I interconnection procedures.
