Core Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming raw materials (grains, proteins, additives) for quality, contamination, and conformity to specifications.
  • Collect representative samples from raw materials, production batches, and finished feed.
  • Conduct visual, physical, and basic chemical tests (e.g., color, odor, moisture, foreign matter) on-site.
  • Monitor key quality parameters during production (e.g., temperature, moisture, pellet durability).
  • Perform line checks and inspect finished products for compliance with labeling, packaging, and quality standards.
  • Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials or products and report to the QC Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and quality reports for traceability.
  • Coordinate with the laboratory and production team to resolve quality issues or discrepancies.
  • Ensure that hygiene and GMP practices are being followed in production and storage areas.
  • Participate in internal audits, feed safety programs (HACCP), and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Animal Science, Food Technology, Feed Technology, or related field.
  • Atleast 1 year of experience in feed production, food processing, or agricultural quality control.
  • Basic understanding of feed ingredients, feed processing, and nutritional standards.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and quality control sampling techniques.
  • Good observational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions on quality issues.
  • Computer skills for data entry and reporting (Excel, QC software, ERP systems).

Job Type: Full-time
