Job Description (JD):

The QAQC Officer/Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials, processes, and outputs meet established quality standards. This role involves overseeing inspections, conducting tests, managing documentation, and coordinating with project and production teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and plans in accordance with project specifications and standards.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on materials, equipment, processes, and completed work.
  • Monitor quality performance and recommend improvements or corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), test plans, and quality audits.
  • Review and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs), method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and other quality-related documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors regarding quality issues and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, ASME), and project requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Provide training or guidance to project and production teams on quality standards and best practices.
  • Raise and manage NCRs, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and follow up for close-out.
  • Support in the preparation and finalization of QA/QC dossiers for project handover

Job Qualifications (JQ):

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil)

Experience:

  • Atleast 1 year of experience in a QAQC role in relevant industry (e.g., construction, oil & gas, manufacturing).
  • Experience with QAQC documentation and inspection methods.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or relevant quality management systems.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance/control principles and procedures.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and standards.
  • Good command of MS Office and QAQC software/tools (e.g., QC Tracker, Primavera, AutoCAD).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
  • Certification in quality (e.g., ISO Auditor, CSWIP, API, NDT Level II) is an advantage.

Work Conditions:

  • Site-based or office-based depending on the project phase.
  • May require travel to construction/manufacturing sites and extended hours.
