What a typical day looks like: Understanding manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies, and techniques. Designing manufacturing processes within schedule and budget. Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods.

Defining equipment maintenance requirements, identifying root causes of failures, and developing hands-on maintenance skills. Collaborating with engineering stakeholders and customers on problem-solving and continuous improvement. Developing and updating PFMEA for new products.

Participating in control plan development. Writing and updating work instructions, specifications, and procedures. Analyzing and designing layout for maximum efficiency.

Consulting with production on product design and tooling for efficient production. Coordinating with customers on specifications and design changes. Providing technical and cost insights for management decisions.

Discussing manufacturing capabilities and schedules with management and staff. Applying statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing needs. Qualifications: Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
