Production Assembly Engineer Role Overview

At Ultra Clean Technology, we are seeking a highly skilled Production Assembly Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of production assembly and test processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate assembly and test labor hours for semiconductor equipment and sub-assemblies during the quote process.
- Plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, product understanding, application, and adaptation of manufacturing techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Devise new approaches to assembly and test, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs, and effectively estimate labor hours for compliance with applicable build and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Lean Manufacturing Principles and understanding of mechanical assemblies, wire routing, and test.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing of assemblies and test is a must.
