Basic Function:

Trains and supervises the personnel from the different sections engaged in the manufacture and packaging of healthcare products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares the annual plan, budget and Key Result Areas (KRA) for the department and ensures that these are met through proper supervision and control.

  2. Prepares, monitors and controls the manufacturing and packaging resources based on the production schedule or that these are met through proper supervision and control.

  3. Maintains target labor efficiency through careful scheduling of work and effective assigning of personnel.

  4. Requests for supplies and equipment needed by the department for approval by the Manufacturing Manager.

  5. Ensures that the department production performance against engineered standards are met or improved, whenever possible.

  6. Accounts for the assets of the department by preparing list for physical inventory (annually).

  7. Recommends hiring and training of new personnel.

  8. Trains employees in accordance with the training requirements of the department.

  9. Directs activities of Section Managers, and/or Management Trainees, Forepersons, Group Leaders and Production Assistant.

  10. Evaluates and approves application for leaves of absences in accordance with the company rules and regulations.

  11. Evaluates the efficiency and performance of the department employees.

12 . Recommends promotion, transfer, disciplinary action (reprimand or suspension) or dismissal of personnel as needs arise.

  1. Ensures that Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice are current and are complied with in accordance with the company Quality Policy. teh Management Trainees, Forepersons, Group Leaders and Production Assistant.

  2. Enforces compliance with controls, procedures and manufacturing specifications required by the client's products.

  3. Enforces compliance with company policies, particularly on personnel discipline.

  4. Coordinates with service departments like Quality Control, Warehouse, Production Planning and Chemical Dispensing to ensure release of Work Orders and Materials for a smooth flow of the department's operation.

  5. Coordinates with Technical Services on the preparation of pilot and first regular batches of new products.

  6. Ensures that all critical equipment, facilities and processes are validated according to Validation Requirements.

  7. Conceptualizes and implements re-engineering projects for continuous improvement.

  8. Reviews batch documents for completeness and correctness prior to submission to QA.

  9. Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Engineering (Chemical,Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic/Industrial),Chemistry, Pharmacy or equivalent and passed the Government Licensure Examination.
