Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Attorney based in the Philippines with strong knowledge of the U.S. SaaS EHR (Electronic Health Records) industry to lead our strategic partnerships and legal negotiations. This role will be critical in identifying, vetting, and securing business alliances that expand our product offering and strengthen our market position.

The ideal candidate will combine legal expertise with business acumen, excelling in contract negotiations, partner research, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnership Development: Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic partnerships with companies (e.g., payment processors, credit card companies, educational institutions, and other SaaS/EHR-related vendors).
  • Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate agreements that support revenue-sharing, integrations, and other collaboration models.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct research on potential partners, including reputation, compliance history, pricing transparency, and alignment with our business goals.
  • Industry Expansion: Develop strategies to partner with colleges and universities in the U.S. to onboard students and future healthcare professionals onto our EHR platform.
  • Legal Guidance: Provide legal oversight to ensure all contracts and agreements comply with U.S. laws, SaaS industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Strategic Insight: Advise leadership on emerging partnership opportunities, risks, and best practices in the U.S. healthcare SaaS landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Attorney in the Philippines with experience working with U.S.-based companies.
  • Minimum 5 years of legal and business negotiation experience, preferably in SaaS, healthcare IT, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. EHR/healthcare SaaS market and familiarity with compliance and regulatory considerations.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. healthcare compliance regulations and requirements is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in structuring and negotiating strategic partnerships, revenue-share deals, or integrations.
  • Must have successfully negotiated at least 1-2 strategic partnership deals in previous roles.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and research skills.
  • Ability to work independently, part-time, and deliver measurable results.
  • Business-minded with the ability to think beyond legal frameworks and into long-term partnership value.

Preferred Experience

  • partnering with financial services (credit card/payment companies) and/or academic institutions.
  • Track record of helping SaaS companies grow through partnerships.
  • Prior work in a dual legal + business development role.

Work Arrangement

Part-time, remote (Philippines-based).Flexible hours, with availability to align with U.S. business hours when needed.

Candidates must be available to work a minimum of 10-15 hours per week for this part-time position.
