ABOUT THE ROLE

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company, driving business growth and strategy, and managing a talented team of designers. The successful candidate must have strong management and operational skills, experience in design-related fields, and the ability to drive long-term success.

Leadership & People

·      Provide day-to-day leadership across a distributed design team, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and accountability.

·      Build and nurture a positive, growth-oriented culture that attracts and retains top design talent.

·      Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development to scale the team effectively.

·      Champion professional development, ensuring our people grow in step with the company.

Business Operations

·      Manage overall operations to deliver client work efficiently, on time, and at the highest standard.

·      Establish and refine processes, systems, and reporting that enable scale without losing quality.

·      Ensure compliance with Philippine regulations and internal company policies.

·      Work closely with finance and operations to monitor budgets, margins, and profitability.

Client & Commercial

·      Act as a senior point of contact for key clients and partners, ensuring trust, smooth delivery, and long-term relationships.

·      Oversee delivery excellence across accounts, making sure projects hit deadlines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

·      Identify opportunities to grow client accounts and contribute to business development efforts.

·      Align commercial models and resourcing strategies with client needs and company growth targets.

Strategy & Growth

·      Translate Tuncarp's growth goals into actionable plans, priorities, and KPIs.

·      Support the Managing Director and leadership team in executing regional and global expansion strategies.

·      Keep ahead of market and industry trends, ensuring Tuncarp stays competitive in design outsourcing and CX.

·      Lead initiatives that strengthen Tuncarp's positioning as the Philippines' leading CX design hub.

AI, Innovation & Future of Work

·      Embed AI-enabled workflows into delivery, helping teams work smarter and stay future-ready.

·      Promote innovation across processes and services, ensuring Tuncarp remains at the cutting edge of CX design.

·      Champion distributed team models, proving that world-class design can come from Manila to anywhere in the world.

Governance & Reporting

·      Produce regular reports on company performance across financial, operational, and people metrics.

·      Oversee risk management, compliance, and business continuity.

·      Ensure decision-making is backed by accurate data, clear insights, and transparent communication.

The ideal candidate should have:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a management role in a design agency or related field.

• An understanding of the latest trends, tools, and technology in the design industry

• An ability to identify opportunities for growth and develop successful marketing strategies

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to negotiate with clients and stakeholders

• A track record of successfully leading high performance teams

• Strong financial acumen with experience in developing budgets and managing costs

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as design, business, or marketing.
