ABOUT THE ROLE

• Processing up to Trial Balance stage and preparing financial statements for lodgment with the Australian Taxation Office.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analysing accounts
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
• Reconcile GST that has gone through the fund with what's been paid to the ATO
• Prepare private tax returns, company, trust, partnership, SMSF tax returns and End of year compliance jobs
• Complete required tax reporting in a timely manner
• Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Offer open lines of communication between management to ensure targets are met
• Prepare working papers for all jobs and update tax provision schedules
• Training and review work prepared by junior staff member

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an A-star individual, passionate and competent with what they do and bringing the WOW with the following qualifications:

• Graduate of Accountancy or Accounting Technology; Advantage if CPA licensed
• With more than 3+ years of Australian Tax Accounting experience
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• Attentive to details and organized
• Good time management skills
• Experience with Xero and Xero Practice Manager
• Experience with BGL SF360/CAS 360
• Familiarity with FYI Document manager
