Job Summary:

CyTech is seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to ensure the quality, security, and reliability of our cybersecurity software products. You will collaborate closely with developers and security teams to design and execute test plans that identify defects, vulnerabilities, and performance issues. This role plays a vital part in maintaining high software standards to protect sensitive data and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Skills

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated scripts covering functionality, performance, compatibility, and security.
  • Perform manual, automated, regression, penetration, and vulnerability testing to identify defects and security gaps.
  • Integrate QA and security testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development and cybersecurity teams.
  • Monitor software behavior for anomalies and potential security threats during testing phases.
  • Validate software functionality, reliability, and compliance with performance and security standards.
  • Track, document, and report test results, defects, vulnerabilities, and resolutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of testing processes, outcomes, and security measures for audits.
  • Stay current with emerging QA methodologies, automation tools, and cybersecurity best practices.

Soft Skills

  • Collaborate effectively with developers, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure software quality.
  • Communicate defects, vulnerabilities, and testing results clearly and constructively.
  • Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and propose improvements.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by learning and adopting new QA tools and security practices.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in testing and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams including remote coordination if necessary.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience preferred but open to motivated candidates.
