Stock Custodian

A Stock Custodian is responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment in a warehouse. It's a critical role in logistics, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Responsible for the accurate receiving, storing, issuing, and recording of stock in a warehouse or storage facility. Their main goal is to maintain proper stock levels, reduce loss or damage, and ensure smooth warehouse operations.

• Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies.
• Match goods received with purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Log incoming stock into the inventory system.
• Accurately record incoming and outgoing equipment, tools, and materials.
• Label and organize items correctly.
• Place goods in the right storage locations based on type, safety, and usage frequency.
• Rotate stock (e.g., FIFO or LIFO methods).
• Picking orders: Locate and collect items based on order slips or scanning devices.
• Packing: Prepare picked items for shipping, including wrapping, boxing, or labeling.
• Inventory checks: Report low stock levels or misplaced items.
• Use of equipment: May operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or handheld scanners.
• Maintaining accuracy: Ensure correct item, quantity, and quality.
• Safety and cleanliness: Follow safety protocols and keep the workspace organized

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain logs of stock movements.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports.
• File documents such as delivery receipts, issue vouchers, and return notes

• High School Graduate or College Level
• Trustworthy, dependable, and physically fit to handle routine warehouse activities.
• Basic knowledge of inventory tracking and stockroom procedures.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow established logistics protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
