The Role:

We are seeking a driven
Business Owner
who pairs strong financial acumen with a strategic, business-focused mindset to take full ownership of product performance, growth, and profitability. This role goes beyond traditional product management you will act as the owner of the business, using financial insight and strategic thinking to drive impactful initiatives. You will evaluate the economics behind payments, question assumptions, and lead projects that optimize profitability while strengthening our position in the payments ecosystem.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that every decision from pricing and process improvements to project execution delivers measurable business results and drives sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the business owner of an open loop business accountable for end-to-end performance, profitability, and operational control.
  • Understand and manage the P&L: track revenues, costs, margins, and key business drivers.
  • Use data and financial analysis to shape business strategies, identify growth opportunities, and optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with teams in Risk, Finance, Operations, and Tech to ensure smooth execution and continuous improvement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the payment ecosystem, customer behavior, and market trends.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance adoption, increase transaction volumes, and improve customer experience.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in finance, audit, or business analysis ideally from a Big 4 audit firm or similar environment.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess profitability, and make strategic decisions.
  • Experience or exposure to payments, payment ecosystems, or fintech is required.
  • Entrepreneurial and ownership mindset proactive, curious, and results-oriented.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business Administration
  • Prior product management experience is a plus but not required.
