Overview / Day in the Life

The SAP PO Applications Lead is responsible for the end-to-end process of SAP Process Orchestration (PO) solution implementation — from gathering requirements and performing detailed analysis, to design, configuration, validation, documentation, and production support. They monitor the application's health and performance, ensuring issues are identified and resolved efficiently. The role requires close collaboration with business partners and the Technology Office Team to ensure smooth operations and serve as the liaison between technical and business teams.

Main Functions

  1. Ensure all SAP PO requests and incidents are addressed promptly and in line with ITIL standards and organizational policies.
  2. Perform SAP PO configuration settings or routine changes, and oversee all preparations and deployment requirements under the Change Management process.
  3. Facilitate collaboration among business, technical, and support teams to define and implement solutions for issues or enhancements.
  4. Monitor application health and performance, ensuring system availability and minimal downtime; provide periodic updates and reports.
  5. Manage supplier relationships and service level agreements, ensuring performance targets are met.
  6. Assess and ensure the SAP PO setup aligns with business requirements and standards, identifying opportunities for improvement and standardization.

Key Competencies

  1. Ability to translate business requirements into technical/functional solutions and define necessary customizations or configurations.
  2. Proven expertise in SAP PO, with knowledge of SAP ECC (TRM, CLM, BPC, etc.) and integrated applications preferred.
  3. Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) with a consistent record of performance and innovative problem-solving.
  4. Customer service-oriented with at least 7 years of experience in SAP PO application support, consulting, or governance/service delivery leadership.
  5. Highly collaborative, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and stewardship in the workplace.
