Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Associate Manager / Lead will oversee daily AR operations, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, dispute resolution, and compliance with company policies. This role will lead a team of AR specialists, drive process improvements, monitor key AR metrics, and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Receivable Operations

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end AR processes, including billing, collections, cash application, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure invoices are generated accurately and sent promptly to customers.
  • Monitor aging reports and take proactive actions to reduce overdue accounts.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in coordination with Sales, Customer Service, and other teams.

2. Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead and mentor AR specialists, ensuring workload is distributed effectively.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the AR team.

3. Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify opportunities to streamline AR workflows, improve collection rates, and enhance accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, SOX compliance (if applicable), and relevant accounting standards.
  • Support automation initiatives and system enhancements (e.g., ERP, CRM, payment gateways).

4. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare regular AR reports, including DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), aging analysis, and cash collection forecasts.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior management on credit control and collection strategies.
  • Track and analyze KPIs to ensure operational targets are met.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • CPA or similar certification is a plus.

  • 8+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with at least 5 years in a managerial or lead role.

  • Strong knowledge of AR processes, credit management, and collections.

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
