About the Role

The role will oversee financial operations, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and system improvements of the business. The business operates in the retail sector supplying sporting and fashion goods and is seeking a candidate to drive and oversee financial reporting, controls and overall finance function.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Delivery of internal monthly management reporting overall and on a store-by-store basis in a timely manner
  • Oversee and drive monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Oversee debtors' function.
  • Attend to monthly balance sheet reconciliations and workpapers
  • Oversee accounts payable function, driving reconciliations, payments and planning
  • Asset Register Management
  • Oversee daily/weekly cashflow including forecasting and insights/direction to management
  • Drive the development of store/company budgets and planning analysis
  • Foreign Exchange Payments
  • Payroll Tax lodgments
  • Superannuation Reconciliations/Payments
  • Worker's insurance management
  • Monthly preparation of GST reporting
  • Manage integrity of point of sale (Retail Express) connection with Xero and financial controls
  • Scenario Planning as required i.e. new stores viability and requests from senior management
  • Support payroll function/processing as required
  • Provide guidance, support and accountability to existing bookkeeping resource
  • Overall be responsible for the financial control and reporting functions of the business
  • Drive trends, data and trading insights to senior management to support business performance

Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a Finance Manager. Exposure to the Australian market required.
  • Bachelors degree and CA or CPA qualification required.
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax laws, and reporting
  • Requirements as well the Philippines.
  • Strong experience with cashflow reporting and planning
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and tools, such as Xero and other ERP systems.
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Experienced in managing and developing high-performing finance teams
  • Willing to work 3 months onsite and hybrid afterwards
  • Can start ASAP once hired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php70, Php80,000.00 per month
