About the Role

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who will play a key role in ensuring the availability, scalability, and performance of our production environments. You will handle service monitoring, incident response, and technical support efficiency, working closely with developers, DevOps, infrastructure teams, and various stakeholders to proactively prevent issues, resolve incidents, and document processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor system health and manage alerts to ensure service uptime and reliability.
  • Handle incident response, escalation, and resolution in line with defined SLAs and KPIs.
  • Support major incidents, contribute to RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and document postmortems.
  • Manage and optimize monitoring, alerting, and logging tools.
  • Maintain and update SOPs, runbooks, playbooks, and knowledge base documentation.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve deployment readiness and system reliability.
  • Track, analyze, and resolve recurring technical issues to improve service efficiency.
Skills & Competencies
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, request management).
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, applications).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (BSP, PDIC, ISO 27001, COBIT) is an advantage.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a structured IT operations environment.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Must be amenable to report on a hybrid set-up, dayshift schedule in Ortigas (2-3x a week onsite)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Exposure to ITIL-based processes, incident management, and problem management.
  • Background in fintech, banking, or SaaS environments with high-availability SLAs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud-based monitoring tools.
