Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to lead and enable a dedicated team of 20+ developers supporting one of our most valued clients.

In this role, you won't be writing or reviewing code — instead, you'll be the operational and strategic leader ensuring the team runs smoothly, stays productive, and continues to grow. You will manage daily delivery operations, drive performance management, maintain strong client relationships, and oversee onboarding and integration of new team members.

Your role is also critical in safeguarding client satisfaction, managing expectations, and facilitating conversations around delivery scope, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations & Scrum Oversight

  • Facilitate smooth daily stand-ups and agile ceremonies.
  • Track blockers, encourage collaboration, and maintain delivery cadence.
  • Assign and rotate the Scrum Master role within the team.

2. Performance Management

  • Implement and maintain performance tracking using agreed KPIs (output, quality, initiative).
  • Conduct biweekly 1-on-1 sessions for feedback, development, and alignment.
  • Address performance issues in collaboration with Client stakeholders or HR.
  • Maintain and review monthly performance scorecards.

3. Team Engagement & Communication

  • Build rapport with team members, fostering openness and accountability.
  • Promote a culture of recognition via shoutouts, MVP awards, and milestone celebrations.
  • Be a safe and trusted point of contact for concerns and conflict resolution.

4. Leave and Attendance Management

  • Track and approve time-off requests in company tools (Notion, Google Sheets).
  • Monitor daily attendance and enforce core hours compliance.
  • Identify early signs of absenteeism or attrition risk.

5. Client Alignment & Internal Coordination

  • Act as the operational liaison between the dev team and Client stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between client priorities and team deliverables.
  • Proactively flag delivery risks, resourcing needs, or timeline changes.
  • Maintain an executive presence in client interactions, including performance and pay-related discussions.

6. Onboarding of New Developers

  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires assigned to the Client team.
  • Ensure tool access, communication setup, and project documentation are in place.
  • Pair new hires with mentors/buddies for smooth integration.
  • Conduct first-week check-ins to address early concerns.

7. Culture and Growth Enablement

  • Facilitate quarterly goal setting with each developer.
  • Support training initiatives (brown bags, certifications, skill development).
  • Promote cross-functional knowledge sharing and peer mentoring.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven leadership in a tech, SaaS, or software development environment.
  • Strong background in delivery management, team leadership, or account management.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Comfortable facilitating client discussions on timelines, delivery, and budgets.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
