Job Summary:

The QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through a combination of automated and manual testing. This role involves designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks, executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. The ideal candidate has a strong background in test automation tools, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in testing processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning & Strategy

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Prioritize test cases based on risk, complexity, and business impact.
  • Identify areas suitable for automation and determine optimal automation approach.

2. Test Design & Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Implement scalable, maintainable, and reusable test automation frameworks.
  • Create and maintain test data and test environments for reliable execution.

3. Test Execution

  • Execute automated test suites for regression, smoke, functional, and performance testing.
  • Conduct manual testing for exploratory, usability, and edge cases not covered by automation.
  • Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility testing.

4. Defect Management & Reporting

  • Identify, log, and track defects.
  • Verify defect fixes in subsequent builds.
  • Analyze test results and generate detailed reports for stakeholders.

5. Continuous Integration & Process Improvement

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in code reviews for test scripts to ensure quality and maintainability.
  • Research and apply emerging automation tools, trends, and best practices.

6. Test Planning & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, use cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in software testing or QA.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and bug lifecycle.
  • Experience with test case design, execution, and defect tracking tools.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to think from an end-user perspective.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
