Job Summary
The Processing Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, reviewing, and processing various documents, data, and transactions according to company policies and procedures. This role ensures that all information is recorded correctly, deadlines are met, and confidentiality is maintained at all times. The Processing Clerk plays a key role in maintaining smooth workflow and providing administrative support to the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming documents or data for accuracy and completeness before processing.
- Enter and update information in company systems, databases, or spreadsheets.
- Verify details against source documents to prevent errors and discrepancies.
- Sort, file, and maintain records in both physical and electronic formats.
- Communicate with internal teams, clients, or vendors to resolve missing or incorrect information.
- Generate reports and summaries based on processed data when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information in compliance with company policies.
- Assist in audits, reconciliations, or special projects as needed.
- Follow up on pending transactions to ensure timely completion.
- Adhere to departmental guidelines, service-level agreements, and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in data entry, clerical work, or processing-related roles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with database systems.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
Working Conditions
- Office-based environment with occasional overtime to meet deadlines.
- Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- May require handling of physical files and light lifting (up to 15 lbs).
