HIRING: IP Coding Supervisor / Educator

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced IP Coding Supervisor / Educator to lead and develop our inpatient medical coding team. The ideal candidate has a solid background in inpatient coding, quality review, and staff development. You'll oversee daily operations, ensure coding accuracy, and facilitate continuous learning for the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and train a team of inpatient medical coders.
  • Conduct coding quality reviews and audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate learning sessions or refreshers.
  • Collaborate with QA and compliance teams to uphold standards.
  • Monitor productivity and deliver regular reports to leadership.
  • Stay up to date with the latest coding regulations and payer guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of inpatient (IP) coding experience.
  • At least 3 years in coding quality, auditing, or educator roles.
  • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS.
  • Experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and 3M Encoder.
  • Coding certification (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
