We are looking for a Trust Accountant for a client in Queensland, Australia in the property management industry who will maintain accurate and compliant trust accounting for all property transactions, reconcile daily trust activity, support monthly close, and provide evidence based financial reporting to the Finance Manager and Managing Director.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of proven experience as a Trust Accountant in property management
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any finance-related degree
  • Proficiency in trust accounting platforms used in property management such as Console, PropertyTree, or ReZume equivalents

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Maintain trust ledgers and ensure all entries are accurate, compliant, coded correctly, and auditable.
  • Complete daily trust bank reconciliations and resolve variances before close of business.
  • Process accounts receivable, allocate payments, monitor arrears, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Process accounts payable, match invoices to work orders or approvals, and prepare payment batches.
  • Manage bonds, deposits, refunds, and ensure all steps meet legislation.
  • Complete month end close, journals, accruals, reconciliations, owner reports, and compliance statements.
  • Support trust account audits and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Maintain high data quality and proactively fix system or ledger issues.
  • Provide clear financial explanations and support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Suggest process improvements and maintain up to date procedures.

This position is an onsite role at our Pampanga office. Candidate must be willing to work on-site.
