Job Overview

The Sales Associate serves as the frontline representative of the store, responsible for achieving sales goals, delivering excellent customer experiences, and ensuring that store operations are executed efficiently. This role requires enthusiasm for sales, a deep understanding of the products offered, and the ability to build rapport with customers. The Sales Associate plays a key role in maintaining the store's visual appeal, assisting in merchandising activities, and supporting the overall performance and profitability of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through effective selling techniques and customer engagement.
  • Provide professional, personalized, and courteous service to every customer, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to confidently explain features, benefits, and promotions.
  • Assist customers in making purchasing decisions by offering recommendations, product comparisons, and upselling or cross-selling when appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually attractive store layout in accordance with company merchandising standards.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist in inventory counts, and coordinate with the Store Supervisor for replenishment requests and stock transfers.
  • Participate in store promotions, product launches, and marketing campaigns to drive traffic and sales.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently, ensuring accuracy in transactions and proper cash handling.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols to maintain a professional and compliant work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve overall store goals and contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications

  • Senior High School graduate or College level; a degree or coursework in Business, Marketing, or related fields is an advantage.
  • Preferably with at least 6 months to 1 year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong selling skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and close sales effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of retail operations and inventory management.
  • Proactive, goal-oriented, and able to work well both independently and in a team setting.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods during store hours.
  • Flexible to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to be assigned to different branches or locations as needed.
