Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or any Accounting-related course. Knowledge in accounting principles, financial reporting and local laws regarding finances and taxation. With technical accounting and analytical skills and able to work under pressure. Previous experience in General Accounting and taxation is preferred, but not required. Computer literate and proficient in relevant accounting software is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Determines content and assembles financial data in order to prepare monthly reports for review.
  2. Reconciles transactions, financial data, and other information to an automated accounting system.
  3. Pre-audits, verifies, and processes employee expense claims reviewing rules for employee compliance.
  4. Designs, prepares, and maintains spreadsheets using basic mathematical calculations.
  5. Reviews new procedures, manuals, and system enhancements and suggests revisions.
  6. Composes routine letters and reports using instructions or guidelines of the work area.
  7. Interprets and applies instructions and guidelines to resolve work problems.
  8. Coordinates the work of the unit by determining priorities; scheduling, assigning, and explaining work; and overseeing the completion of the work.
  9. Assures that the work meets quality and production standards by reviewing the work for accuracy and proper completion and monitoring output.
  10. Computes and prepares statutory reports on Taxes.
  11. Assists in monitoring and resolving bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences.
  12. Assists in administering accounts receivable and accounts payable
  13. Assists with preparation and coordination of the audit process
  14. Assists with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
  15. Prepares analysis of accounts as requested
  16. Monthly/Yearly closings and preparation of Financial Statements for management reports.
  17. Perform such other duties as may be required by Finance Manager.
