
Bookkeeper - QuickBooks Online Specialist

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PMClient Timezone: Pacific Time / Los Angeles, California
Total Weekly Hours: 40 hours
This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your QuickBooks Online expertise while supporting a growing accounting firm's financial operations. In this role, you'll manage multiple client accounts, ensure accurate records, and handle specialized bookkeeping projects.
Working directly with the CEO and operations team, you'll have the autonomy to clean up and restructure financial systems while contributing to the firm's continued success. This position blends technical bookkeeping with client service, making your attention to detail and QuickBooks proficiency critical to maintaining strong client satisfaction.
Perform monthly bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate financial records across multiple client accounts
Conduct thorough bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies
Manage catch-up and cleanup bookkeeping projects to bring accounts current
Clean and restructure charts of accounts for better organization and reporting clarity
Accurately categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online following best practices
Match deposits to corresponding bookkeeping entries for complete transaction tracking
Provide ongoing QuickBooks Online support, maintenance, and system optimization
Collaborate directly with the CEO and operations team on financial matters and process improvements
Support client service excellence through timely and accurate deliverables
Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (certification preferred but not required)
Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets for financial reporting and analysis
Proven expertise in bank reconciliation with exceptional attention to detail
Experience in monthly bookkeeping operations and financial record maintenance
Skilled in catch-up and cleanup projects, even with incomplete records
Experience restructuring charts of accounts for clarity and efficiency
Proficiency in transaction categorization and deposit matching
Minimum 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the team
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple client accounts
Commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines in a client-focused environment
