Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedAccounting Headto lead our Finance and Accounting operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and effective financial planning to support the company's growth. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and confident in managing both people and processes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily Finance & Accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • Review monthly financial statements, management reports, and key financial analyses
  • Manage cash flow planning, banking relationships, and treasury functions
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial models
  • Oversee cost accounting, including landed cost validation and inventory/COGS reconciliation
  • Ensure timely and accurate BIR filings, tax compliance, and other regulatory requirements
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for annual and periodic audits
  • Strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and enhance financial systems
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members to improve performance and capability

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required
  • Additional training in financial management or corporate planning is an advantage

Experience

  • 7–12 years of progressive experience in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • Experience in trading, distribution, FMCG, or importation industries is a strong advantage
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
  • Financial reporting & analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Cash flow and treasury management
  • Costing and inventory accounting
  • Compliance, taxation, and statutory filings
  • Audit preparation and coordination
  • Bank handling and treasury operations

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of PAS/PFRS and BIR regulations
  • Proficient in financial modelling, analysis, and budget management
  • Knowledgeable in inventory costing, landed cost computation, and AP/AR processes
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems
  • Experience with ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, or similar) preferred
