Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, nurses, and medical professionals.
  • Continuously monitor patients visually and communicate via two-way devices.
  • Participate in shift hand-offs, sharing relevant patient information and behaviors.
  • Document patient activity hourly and maintain accurate records in EMR and observation software.
  • Alert nursing staff immediately if a patient exhibits concerning behaviors or is a threat to self or others.
  • Offer clear explanations to patients without providing counseling or options.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and follow safe work practices.
  • Escalate issues appropriately to ensure patient safety and care quality.

Must-Haves

  • Previous experience in a direct customer service role, demonstrating a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients using a microphone and headset.
  • Proficient in interpreting and following detailed written and oral instructions.
  • Experience in complex environments with the ability to escalate issues as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of 4-year course
  • 1 year of clinical/healthcare experience is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Digital literacy and technical proficiency in various remote work tools and platforms.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity practices and understanding of patient security to protect sensitive information.
