The Product Manager is responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and market competitiveness of assigned product categories. This role combines strategic planning, merchandising expertise, and hands-on execution to ensure optimal product performance across the full lifecycle—from selection and pricing to promotion and phase-out. A strong focus on P&L management, merchandising strategies, and negotiation with suppliers is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. P&L Ownership & Business Performance

  2. Manage the product line's profit and loss, ensuring sales, margin, and inventory targets are met.

  3. Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to inform business decisions.
  4. Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.

  5. Merchandising & Product Strategy

  6. Curate and manage the product assortment to align with market demands and brand positioning.

  7. Oversee product lifecycle management, from launch to end-of-life, including pricing, promotions, and markdown strategies.
  8. Collaborate with marketing and retail teams to ensure compelling product presentations and merchandising execution.

  9. Supplier & Partner Negotiations

  10. Negotiate cost, payment terms, and marketing support with suppliers and vendors.

  11. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure competitive advantages.

  12. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  13. Work closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, and retail operations teams to align on product initiatives.

  14. Prepare and deliver product presentations, training, and updates to internal teams and partners.

  15. Market Insights & Competitive Analysis

  16. Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities.

  17. Benchmark competitor products, pricing, and promotional activities.
