bout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Structural Designer with strong experience in 3D modelling and commercial quantity estimating. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background and proven expertise in TEKLA, along with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. This role will focus on delivering detailed 3D models and accurate steel fabrication outputs for international projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D models for structural steel fabrication using TEKLA.
  • Perform commercial quantity estimating directly from 3D model videos and design outputs.
  • Generate fabrication-ready models, shop drawings, and reports for steel structures.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across different time zones (Irish shift).
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and efficiency in deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in structural design and detailing.
  • Proficiency in TEKLA Structures (mandatory).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • Prior experience on UK, Ireland, or European projects is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and detailing standards.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup with high attention to detail.
