Job Description: Accounting Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor with at least 5 years of proven supervisory experience in accounting and finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, standards, and internal policies, while leading and mentoring the accounting team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and oversee accounting staff handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Review, analyze, and ensure accuracy of financial statements and management reports.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of books.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in accounting systems, processes, and controls.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure professional growth and high performance.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA license preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Accounting Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and taxation.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
