The position includes administrative roles for tax implementation, compliance, and audit in the business which may include, but not limited to:

  1. Regulatory Requirements: Preparation of government (BIR, SEC, LGU) requirements, such as reconciliations, schedule and filing of year-end inventory, book of accounts, etc.

  2. Tax Compliance: Monitoring compliance with existing and applicable government requirements and tax regulations. Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including VAT, income tax, withholding tax, and other local taxes. Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely remittance of tax payments to avoid penalties.

  3. Tax Implementation and Internal Control: Keeping up to date with new tax rulings and issuances, and leading implementation in the business. Assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Support the development and update of tax and compliance-related company policies as needed.

  4. Tax Audit: Handling BIR and LGU audits and assessments; and coordinating with external auditors for yearly audit of financial statement. Gather and organize documentations to support tax positions during audits. Assist in addressing tax notices, ensuring prompt resolution of issues raised by tax authorities.

  5. Income Tax Returns and Financial Statement: Assistance in the preparation and filing of yearly tax returns (ITRs) and financial reports.

  6. Tax Planning and Advisory: Assist in tax planning initiatives to minimize tax exposure and maximize tax efficiency.

  7. Training & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on changes in tax laws, accounting standards and other regulations.

  8. Administrative: Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax filings, payments and correspondence with tax authorities. Ensure documentation is easily accessible for internal and external audit purposes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or Management accounting, Finance or related field.

  2. At least 3-year relative experience in tax preparation, filing and compliance.

  3. Familiarity with BIR e-filing systems and other regulatory platforms

  4. Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws and regulations.

  5. Excellent attention to details and strong organizational skills.

  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  7. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS office

  8. Good communication and interpersonal skills
