Job Summary:

The Senior FP&A Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality financial planning and analysis to support effective decision-making and drive business performance. The role focuses on managing the manufacturing P&L, including production value, standard costs, overheads, inventories, and operational KPIs. This position works closely with Manufacturing Finance Business Partners and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for Supply Chain units and monitor implementation to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor cost development, perform cost center controlling, and support budget holders in managing financial responsibilities.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of financial commentary.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Supply Chain, and Commercial Operations.
  • Automate, expand, and improve cost tracking and reporting using ERP and/or BI tools.
  • Support data quality enhancement across operational and financial systems.
  • Develop cost-per-activity insights (e.g., cost per product, cost per delivery) to support decision-making.
  • Conduct special analyses and handle ad-hoc financial requests.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA are preferred.
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience in FP&A, cost controlling, or financial analysis within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost center controlling.
  • Solid commercial finance skills, including business case preparation for investments, tenders, and performance analysis using KPIs.
  • Experience preparing management reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, with familiarity in IFRS reporting and compliance standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and visualization.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP; familiarity with SAP BI tools is an advantage.
  • Exposure to planning and forecasting tools such as Anaplan is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and intercultural skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
