The Accounting Assistant provides support to the accounting department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. This role involves processing financial transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Data Entry:
  • Enter and update financial data into accounting systems.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Record Maintenance:
  • Maintain and update financial records and files.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Transaction Processing:
  • Process and record payments, receipts, and bank transactions.
  • Verify and correct discrepancies in financial records.
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
  • Reporting and Reconciliation:
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts.
  • Support year-end closing processes.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Perform general office duties such as answering phones, filing, and managing correspondence.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Provide support to senior accountants and finance managers as needed.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or administrative role is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php17,000.00 per month
