Job Summary:

The Equipment Engineer reports to the Equipment Manager and is responsible for the allocation, maintenance, and monitoring of all construction equipment across project sites. The role ensures that all equipment is in optimal condition, properly deployed, and efficiently utilized on-site. The position also requires knowledge in equipment rentals, including coordination, monitoring, and verification of rented units.

Job Description (Key Responsibilities):

  1. Monitor the condition, usage, and performance of all equipment deployed on various project sites.
  2. Ensure proper loading, unloading, and handling of equipment during mobilization and demobilization at sites.
  3. Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and necessary repairs of equipment to minimize downtime.
  4. Keep detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance history, and performance metrics.
  5. Coordinate with site engineers and project managers regarding equipment needs and deployment plans.
  6. Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure that all equipment meets safety and operational standards.
  7. Provide technical guidance to operators and mechanics regarding proper equipment use and repair procedures.
  8. Assist in procurement planning for spare parts and new equipment as necessary.
  9. Coordinate and monitor rental equipment, including inspection, verification of rental bills, and ensuring compliance with rental agreements.

Qualifications (Education and Competency Requirements):

  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in supervising construction equipment operations and deployment.
  • Knowledgeable in equipment rental processes, including coordination, monitoring, cost verification, and documentation.
  • Knowledgeable in equipment usage monitoring and equipment loading logistics on construction sites.
  • With hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repair of construction equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other related computer systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to work.
  • Willing to travel and be assigned to various project sites as needed.
