What you'll be doing

  • Conducting structural analyses and performing calculations to ensure the safety and integrity of building structures

  • Designing load-bearing elements such as beams, columns, foundations and other structural components

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including architects, civil engineers and construction managers, to develop comprehensive construction plans

  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations and industry standards

  • Monitoring construction progress and providing technical support to on-site teams

  • Preparing detailed reports, drawings and documentation to support project deliverables

  • Identifying and implementing innovative structural solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Structural Engineer, ideally in the construction industry

  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations

  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, construction methods and building codes

  • Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as ETABS, SAP2000 or Structural Analysis and design software

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
