Primary DetailsTime Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeThe purpose of this role is to support accounting and reporting activities by managing daily financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and policies. Responsibilities include processing financial transactions, analyzing data, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting processes to align activities with government regulations and corporate standards.

The role also involves reviewing and processing invoices, resolving payment queries, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data for the service company. ResponsibilitiesEnsure all processes are documented in a standard format and maintained in an accessible manner. Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure service delivery meets expectations.

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to meet financial obligations. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate accounting records for regulatory compliance. Contribute to process and procedure improvements for efficiency.

Assist with investigations/projects concerning commercial accounting issues as needed. Participate in internal meetings to share strategies, knowledge, and best practices. Assist in managing credit control aspects of the business.

Work ExperienceNecessary:Relevant experience in a similar finance or accounting role. Preferred:Experience within a complex financial services organization, including audit experience from Big 4 firms, and familiarity with insurance industry practices.

Experience with accounts payable, general accounting procedures, and ERP systems like Oracle Financials. Proficiency in data management, treasury, or settlements is advantageous. Proven people management and accountability skills.

QualificationsNecessary:Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience. Current or pending accounting certifications.
