Data Engineer

FLNT is looking for a Data engineer to join the growing team of analytics experts to create the infrastructure for accurate data collection, processing and analysis. As an experienced data engineer, you will help us build the next generation of data analytics solutions. You will join a cross-functional Agile team with a diverse range of skills which you'll be able to leverage to develop your own skillset and grow your career.

Key responsibilities & duties

  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources

  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture

  • Identify, design, and implement data processing improvements - optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability

  • Own features that you develop end to end, develop and test your code, implement new processes in production and maintain them over time

  • Design data warehouse solutions to support ETL processes and data analytics applications

  • Advise on data management practices, approaches and frameworks

  • Demonstrate technical expertise in data quality, governance and architecture

  • Develop SQL/NoSQL database queries, stored procedures, triggers, analytics functions

  • Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends

  • Effectively communicate results and ideas to key decision makers including technical and non-technical people

About you:

  • Extensive experience in database technologies and data warehousing

  • Extensive experience in SQL and Python

  • Experience in automation of data collection and transformation

  • Experience in NoSQL databases and/or search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB)

  • Familiarity with cloud computing (Azure) is a big plus

  • Experience in working with and developing APIs

  • Education: BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Able to collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to build end-to-end data pipelines and production codes

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and communicate well with both technical and non-technical teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with Docker

  • Experience in distributed computing framework (e.g. Spark, Hadoop)

  • Experience in workflow management tools (e.g. Airflow, Luigi)

  • Familiarity with cloud analytics platforms (e.g. Databricks) or cloud data warehousing (e.g. Snowflake)

  • Familiarity with .NET framework

  • Hybrid work experience – Work once a week onsite (Thursday or Friday)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php50, Php70,000.00 per month
